HubSpot Integration

Auto-sync deals, contacts, and competitive intelligence from HubSpot CRM.

Requirements

Plan: War Room or Command Center · Role: Admin or Owner

What It Does

The HubSpot integration connects Rival Radar to your CRM to:

  • Auto-import win/loss data from closed deals
  • Sync contact and company information for deal context
  • Track deal values and revenue impact against specific competitors
  • Pull competitor mentions from deal properties and notes
  • Eliminate manual data entry for competitive deal tracking

Setup Guide

  1. 1

    Go to Settings → Integrations

Navigate to the integrations page from your organization settings.

  2. 2

    Click Connect HubSpot

You'll be redirected to HubSpot's OAuth flow. Log in with your HubSpot admin credentials and authorize Rival Radar to access your CRM data.

  3. 3

    Select your HubSpot account

If you have multiple HubSpot portals, select the one you want to connect.

  4. 4

    Auto-sync begins

Once connected, Rival Radar begins syncing your deals automatically. No manual field mapping required.

Sync Features

Auto-sync on connect — No manual field mapping needed. Rival Radar automatically detects your deal stages and properties.

Company detection — Automatically pulls company names from associated contacts and companies.

Pipeline sync — Deal stages sync to the Basecamp Pipeline tab for at-a-glance competitive deal tracking.

Background sync every 30 minutes — Deals are automatically refreshed without any manual intervention.

Win/loss capture — Closed Won and Closed Lost deals are automatically imported with outcome data.

Data Synced

  • Deals — Name, stage, amount, close date, owner
  • Companies — Name, domain, industry
  • Contacts — Name, email, title (for deal context)
  • Deal properties — Competitor field, loss reason, notes

Pipeline in Basecamp

Synced deals appear in the Basecamp Pipeline tab. You can see all active competitive deals, filter by stage, and click through to get AI-powered coaching for any specific deal.

Pro tip

Create a custom "Competitor" property in HubSpot and encourage your team to fill it in on every competitive deal. Rival Radar will automatically pull this data to enhance win/loss analytics and battle card recommendations.

Troubleshooting

  • Deals not syncing? — Check that your HubSpot user has access to the deals you expect to see. Rival Radar respects HubSpot permissions.
  • Missing company data? — Ensure deals are associated with a Company record in HubSpot.
  • Need to reconnect? — Go to Settings → Integrations, disconnect HubSpot, then reconnect with the same steps.
