Knowledge Base

Upload your competitive documents to give the AI richer context and more accurate battle cards.

The Knowledge Base is available on War Room (20 GB) and Command Center (unlimited) plans only.

Overview

The Knowledge Base lets you upload your own competitive intelligence documents - analyst reports, internal competitive briefs, product comparison sheets, win/loss post-mortems, and more. The AI uses these documents as additional context when generating battle cards and coaching responses.

The more relevant documents you upload, the more accurate and specific Rival Radar's intelligence becomes. Think of it as training the AI on your market's unique dynamics.

Supported Formats

  • PDF - analyst reports, whitepapers, competitive briefs
  • Word (.docx) - internal documents and memos
  • PowerPoint (.pptx) - slide decks and presentations
  • Text (.txt, .md) - notes, transcripts, and markdown files
  • CSV - structured competitive data and comparisons

Uploading Documents

    Navigate to Knowledge Base

    Go to Settings → Knowledge Base or use the sidebar link.

    Upload your files

    Drag and drop files or click to browse. You can upload multiple files at once. Files are processed and indexed automatically.

  3. 3

    Documents are indexed

    Rival Radar extracts text, identifies competitor mentions, and indexes the content for use in future analyses and coach sessions.

How It Improves AI Quality

The knowledge base enhances Rival Radar in several ways:

  • Battle cards - analyses reference your internal docs for more specific, accurate intelligence.
  • Sales Coach - coaching responses incorporate your team's institutional knowledge.
  • Objection handling - the AI learns your specific market dynamics and competitive positioning.
  • Pattern recognition - the AI connects insights across multiple documents to surface themes.

Who Can Upload

Knowledge base management requires the Manage Knowledge permission, which is available to Admin and Owner roles. Members can read and benefit from the knowledge base, but cannot upload or delete documents.

Best practices

Upload your most recent competitive docs first - analyst reports from the last 6 months, recent win/loss post-mortems, and current pricing intelligence. Outdated information can confuse the AI, so keep your knowledge base fresh.

Storage Limits

  • War Room: 20 GB total storage
  • Command Center: Unlimited storage
